Hello.  My name is Maxim.  I am from Russia, but I am against the war, against Putin, I support the Ukrainians.

 I have wanted to immigrate to Scandinavia for many years because the values ​​of lagoma, equality, honesty, trust and democracy are close to me.  But what is happening in Russia now... I don't know how I can immigrate, but I can't put it off any longer.  It's not just a matter of survival, there are things much worse than death.

 My views are hostile to most Russians.  I am for democracy, human rights, freedom of speech.  I am against gender roles and stereotypes that limit people's freedom to be who they want.  My attitude towards a person does not depend on his age, gender, orientation, color or number of tentacles.  I support equality, feminism, LGBT rights, environmental protection, pacifism, cosmopolitanism, childfree, openness, honesty and ethics.  Buddhism and meditation are the most important part of my life.

 NATURE is very important to me and the main source of inspiration (in 2021, I spent a total of 3 months on solo trips in a tent).  I do volunteering and charity work (if you are interested, ask, this is an important part of my life >_<).  What we do to other sentient beings is terrible and being a vegetarian is one of the best choices I've made in my life.  I am a loner, I have not had friends for many years and I do everything alone.

 As I understand it, the only way for me to immigrate to Sweden now is to get a job offer.  But I have no idea how to do it.  I am a free artist (for some reason, at all times, "Free artist" only meant freedom from money and food lol).  I have no job, no work experience, in some cool profession like a programmer.  Today I was handing out flyers as a promoter for a beauty salon.  It is doubtful that with such work experience they will send me invitations to work in Sweden.  eh.

 But I am strong (I go in for sports 6 days a week and vegetarianism gives a lot of energy), smart (IQ 130 and read a lot all my life, up to 80 books a year, mostly scientific - especially physics and mathematics, as well as astronomy, biology, ethology  , probability theory, statistics, economics, systems theory, cybernetics, information technology, and I also love science fiction, I grew up on The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy).  I am ready for any job, except for fraud and other than the trade in meat, weapons and poisons.  I just want to walk around the globe to nirvana with a backpack and a tent, draw and give my drawings to people, play the flute, meditate and train kung fu.  I am not an atom, I am a photon and must move.  But it is unlikely that my dream will lead me to Swedish citizenship

 In Russia, because of my views, I am afraid of every new day.  I want to live in a democratic country, with freedom of speech and human rights, but everything is pointless, here the orcs worship Sauron for a thousand years and will do so for another thousand years.  I live in constant fear.  If you know what is happening in Russia, where the persecution of dissidents and torture have become the norm ... The world is a hell in which there is too much suffering to want to live.

 I don't want to be afraid, I don't want to fight heroically.  I want to live and work peacefully for the well-being of a society where people trust each other and calmly go to nibbana.  Walking in the evenings along the quiet streets of a small town, smiling at passers-by and enjoying the bright colors of autumn leaves (and the absence of garbage).

 In Russia, I'm not just a stranger, I'm an enemy here.  The new Iron Curtain clangs shut.  With my democratic, pacifist views, a very bad future awaits me in Russia.  Here comes the search for enemies and it will be a brutal massacre.  Putin said that traitors who are against the war and sympathize with the West are insects that will be crushed.  Every genocide begins with the dehumanization of "enemies of the people".  All I need now is to run to the Free World as quickly as possible.  But I don't want to run away by any means, I want to keep the laws and be honest.

 P.S. This is unlikely to help, but my father is Ukrainian (but a citizen of Russia), my mother is Ukrainian, who was born in Ukraine (but a citizen of Russia), my birth certificate from the times of the USSR says Ukrainian nationality.  But I am a citizen of Russia, unfortunately.

Unfortunately, 97% of Russians support the attack and occupation of Ukraine.
I can't even find an acquaintance (let alone a friend) in many years in real life because of my views.
And because of the fascist policy and censorship, even on the Internet it is impossible to find such like-minded people because everyone is afraid to express their views. I'm also afraid.

If you are just seeking for a normal job that can lead to arrange yourself a work visa to begin with, then your chances are unfortunately low, due to few reasons, for instance because of this https://wwoof.net/ However you may also can register yourself in that site.

And there are young people in Sweden and in rest of the Nordic countries and in the whole EU itself who would consider voluntary assignments here and there, only for food and lodging (sometimes even without it), and they do it just for fun! There is no need of visa arrangements for people within EU so anyone would take the easy way out. I mean to arrange a work visa one has to be registered as an employer and fulfil certain requirements, not that much of members of this forum are eligible as employers according to the level of requirements of Swedish Migration Agency.     

Even though your target list of employers are probably not here I wish someone would see this and you would get the help you are seeking for anyway, good luck!

There is more than one seasonal work area in Sweden & Scandinavia.

As soon as there is no ground frost there is seasonal work planting pine plants. The same way as its probably done in Russia. In Sweden there is a practice of Ukrainan people coming here to do this.

Later in summer there is work picking strawberries.

In autumn there is work picking lingonberry. When there is not covid, thousands of people come from Thailand to Sweden to work with this.

I suggest you try to get a long time host with Woof or Helpx.net (in Sweden or Scandinavia). Once here it can be easier to get contacts and information. People here will see who you are and be sure that you are honest.

I can understand why you want to leave Russia, but Sweden is not like before. Most people build up small ilands, unable to live in community. Families are spread, farms sold etc. And there are too much refuges from middle east and north Africa. Sweden welcome the refuges from Ukraina and I think they will do their very best in our country.

You say you are a smart man and your english is very good, would you like to work as a teacher? Swedish and english are relatived language, much easier to learn swedish for you than for most ukrainians (?ukraina people) couse they do not speak english. I heard the very great shopping center in Charlottenberg, near Norway, need a lot of new staff. Are you able to work at  inventory?

One thing that came to my mind, as i think somebody mentioned above, if he got an aproved craftmans aprentice place he would be able to travel around during the journey and it would also give a job certifying on the paper.

You are of course always welcome to my home if You need to lend an matress in the guestroom (there are no Ukranian refugees here yet since i live a bit offside i guess, so You can hawe it meanwhile, i help any good person who are in need!) while travling around to meet all the other wonderful people here, i think it would be an exiting journey if You are interested in learning some craftmanskip in detph and meet new friends on the trail, or just wish to develope Your artistic talent.

I guess by craftsman apprentice you meant "lärling"! In that case Maxim the opening poster has to apply through a recognized institute such as a school/university etc. in other words a student visa. And the mentor "handledaren" has to be registered in that particular institute that Maxim applies at. Swedish Migration agency only deals with institutes and not with private individuals when it comes to student visa.

And student visa costs money, first for the course itself (what it is free of charge for registered inhabitants of the country (and Schengen) cost for international students). And then Migration agency wants to know the guest student has enough money for his/her cost of living and that is based on Swedish standards. Then it is a process of points and money (or incomes after once arrived), both are needed to renew one's visa for each school year/semester depending on the course or program.

Maxim's best chance is to be a unique professional that you normally don't have enough professionals in Sweden/EU, or through marriage. However his original asylum idea is also kind of unique because it is obvious that some Russians are also in need of escape. I once saw a Pakistani couple who had got asylum in Norway because of love, couple was from two different castes that does not allow each other to get married but they were in deeply love that they sought asylum just to be able to live a normal life as husband and wife, (other than that the wife of the story were in life danger just because of their marriage).

I was thinking about this because on the blacksmith (it's not just blacksmiths, it is carpenters, stoneworkers, boatbuilders, You name it, just pick something You actualy like) where i was an aprentice my self long time ago we had those wandering aprentices (i don't know if there is any correct english word for it?) from all around the world, partivulary from Germany (since they are still use it as a part of the education it self, it is the final step to achieve the masters letter), but also Norway and other places. The idea is that one only hawe 1 Euro in the pocket and that coin shall be returned whan You are done, the whole point is that You are supposed to work and learn the profession from many different masters so You will be properly informed about how thay are doing in different parts of the world and they will give you free bed and food, etc for the work until You are done with the year of trial and recieve Your own masters letter. Usualy one start of as a regular aprentice before doing that journey, but traditionaly that part can be done anywhere as long as You are tercnicaly aprentice for a master.

Normaly there are no university or any money involved, as i said you are not even supposed to bring any money at all to actualy spend during the final journey.

I don't know if it would be possible to arrange the fomalities by going around it in any way?

That must have been a fantastic concept to be an apprentice but I don't think it still applies as you have described. There is something called "Erasmus" for inhabitants of EU and other than that the bureaucracy is more strict nowadays for any kind of visa for third country nationals, therefore it is very hard for me to think that the possibility to go around something very uncommon like this would work out.

Hello. Thank you for your replies and attention. I'm still in Mordor. I feel very bad, but there is no physical violence against me personally (yet). In fact, I feel really bad, I am horrified and desperate when I think about my future in Russia. Repression against those who are against the war, those who care about Western values ​​of democracy will increase exponentially. Let me remind you that in 1937 the communists shot 1000 (!) people a day for anti-Soviet jokes and just like that, and the survivors envied the dead. The biggest mistake smart people make is believing that fascism and communism will never return because it's too bloody. They will return.

I understand that the only chance for me to immigrate is to get a job offer in Sweden. I called embassies and migration services - I have no chance of getting asylum.

So I made a decision (I thought for many months) about choosing a specialty for immigrating to Sweden - I am now looking for a job (to start with an apprentice) as an installer of solar panels (and renewable energy in general).

I love technology, I love science (especially physics and mathematics), I love doing things with my own hands, I love creativity and this profession combines these inclinations of mine for the sake of benefiting society and (I hope) creating a better future for everyone, the ethics of what is important to me What am I doing.

In general, my plan so far is this: find a job as a solar panel installer in Russia -> learn this job -> gain experience -> find a job as a solar panel installer in Sweden -> get a job offer in Sweden -> immigrate to Sweden -> contribute to society working to create a better future, more environmentally friendly -> in 7 years to get Swedish citizenship -> far future, retired to meditate and as a hobby lay out paths with stones and build excessively beautiful ladders and bridges so that people can walk comfortably and pleasantly to beautiful places in nature -> reach nirvana and disappear forever.

I realize this will take longer than I'd like, but I don't see any shortcuts yet. In Russia, everything will soon be very bad and maybe I will not have time to do it. So if you have better ideas - I will be grateful to you friends for any help that will help me immigrate to Sweden.

Hei.  I'm 43 years old.

 The last time I officially worked was more than 10 years ago, as a senior system administrator in a restaurant chain.  That is, I did everything that was necessary to maintain the network, from working with hardware and setting up servers and software, to programming Cisco routers.

 I have no computer education, I just loved computers all my life.

 Of course, in 10 years without work, my skills were forgotten, but it seems that my brains remained - when TeamViewer stopped working due to Russia's attack on Ukraine, I set up FTP access, via openvpn cloud, to my home computer, to Internet Information Services, so many hemorrhoids lol  , just because I needed from hiking in the mountains, with poor internet, to have access from my phone with downloading files to my hard drive on my home computer.  And besides TeamViewer, other applications did not support resuming files after the Internet connection was broken.

 I have no education and work experience, but my brains and hands are skillful.  About 10 years ago I made a grow box with my own hands, everything myself - automation, lighting, ventilation, charcoal filters, it was a work of engineering art, because I did everything neatly and efficiently, with love, up to the pattern of panels according to the golden ratio and the automation leaving for  mouse paws 😃

 I understand that I'm far from Steve Jobs.  What work do you need to do?
