Do they even let foreigners like me carry a gun? Apparently they do! Thankyou Sweden!
I am hoping to take my hunting licence here in Sweden over the summer. Because the material is in a much more advanced version of Swedish then I am able to speak I am forced to pay 10,000:- for a 3 day intensive course. I know what most hunters think of these courses and I hope to reassure you that I will be a responsible hunter no matter how I learn about Swedish laws and wild life. I was, after all, a hunter in England before I moved here.
Now I do have a little farm in Trosa, Södermanland, where I hope to bring some meat to the table from rådjur and control the damn rävar. But I would also like to get everyone's opinion on 'foreign' hunters, and if anyone is in Södermanland who would like to help me with some first experiences in Swedish hunting.

Hi and welcome !
Im not a hunter but fit in as everyone.
Its fine that people hunt, and even someone from another contry.
Its important to learn the rules here so we all can feel safe when we pick berrys and mushrooms in the forest.
I hope you will get some hunting friends and I think Sweden have some areas where hunting is realy needed as the wild boar is spreading all over. They are nicer on the plate, I think ;)
